Stainless Steel Torx Drive Flat Head Deck Screws

A 304 / 305 stainless steel Torx deck screw with a flat head, cutting nibs, Type 17 point and coarse high-low thread geometry. This combination is intended to seat cleanly and draw timber-supported deck boards into contact with the joist.
- 304 / 305 stainless steel
- Countersunk flat head with underhead nibs
- T20 / T25 Torx / Notched Type 17 auger point
KEY FEATURES & PERFORMANCE
High-low threads.
Flush board seating.
The high-low thread is a distinct feature of this flat-head design. Combined with the notched point and head nibs, it addresses entry, joist engagement and the finished board seat. Compare the complete geometry when specifying another Torx deck screw.
- 01
304 / 305 stainless body
The source range uses 304 / 305 stainless steel for corrosion resistance in exterior decks. Match the alloy to the preservative treatment and environment of the finished connection.
- 02
High-low thread geometry
The listed coarse high-low thread profile is designed to engage the joist and draw boards down. Specify the thread layout and usable engagement when comparing or customising this model.
- 03
A flat head with cutting nibs
Nibs beneath the countersunk head help cut the board seat. Confirm the required head position and any pilot or countersink preparation for the actual material.
- 04
Torx control during driving
T20 / T25 recess options provide positive contact with the matching bit. Correct bit fit supports torque transfer and helps reduce slipping or damage during installation.
- 05
Type 17 starts through fibres
The notched point cuts into timber fibres for prompt thread engagement. It supports installation in suitable boards while leaving pilot requirements to the timber and fixing detail.
- 06
Board-to-joist contact
The head seat and thread engagement work together to draw the board toward its support. Review gaps, spacers and the deck fixing layout to help manage local movement.

APPLICATIONS & CONNECTION PLANNING
Connections This Range Is Made For
Treated wood decking
Give the timber treatment, exposure and board thickness. Material selection and fixing preparation should follow those conditions, with the high-low thread engaging the supporting timber.
Cedar, redwood & timber
Review the desired flush finish, edge distances and pilot-hole guidance for the chosen species. Include the joist detail to establish sufficient engagement beyond the board.
Composite on timber
Check the board manufacturer's requirements before using a countersunk head. Provide the profile, cap construction and permitted head depth alongside the timber support and required screw length.
Follow the board and support requirements for the exact joint. Fixing capacity, usable engagement and preparation depend on the selected configuration.
COATING SOLUTIONS
A Finish That Fits
the Project
Head painting, passivation and specialty finishes can be reviewed as part of a custom order for this stainless steel range.
Choose the finish with the board appearance, timber treatment and exposure in mind. Any requested colour, treatment or corrosion test belongs in the agreed specification; custom finishing services do not imply that every treatment is a standard stocked option.

Product, OEM & Packaging Q&A
Product details, custom manufacturing and packaging options for your next enquiry.
Product
What distinguishes this flat-head Torx version?
Its source feature list specifies coarse high-low thread geometry, alongside underhead nibs and a Type 17 point. Include the thread drawing when comparing it with other flat-head deck screws.
Product
Does the Type 17 point suit a metal joist?
This screw is selected for timber-supported decking. A metal support needs a separate drilling-point and thread-engagement review rather than a direct substitution.
Product
Can similar Torx deck screws be treated as equivalent?
Check the high-low thread profile, material, head dimensions, point and usable length. Matching drive names do not establish the same fixing geometry or performance.
OEM
Can you customise the head, drive or dimensions?
Yes. OEM / ODM enquiries can include head markings, head shape, drive details, dimensions and tolerances. Supply a drawing or the applicable standard so the proposed design can be reviewed.
OEM
Can you match a head colour or special finish?
Yes. Head painting, passivation and specialty treatments can be reviewed with your colour reference and exposure requirements. The process and scope are agreed for the selected screw.
OEM
Can we check samples before full production?
Custom samples and initial inspection reports can be arranged before the production order. Agree the sample specification and review requirements during development.
Packaging
Which packaging formats can we specify?
Options include small polybags, inner boxes, outer cartons and industrial bulk packs. Tell us the quantity per pack and sales channel so the format can be agreed.
Packaging
Can the packaging carry our own brand?
Yes. Supplied logos and artwork can be used for custom box designs and printing across inner and outer packaging. The final artwork is reviewed with the packaging brief.
Packaging
Can you include barcodes, part numbers and shipping marks?
Private labels, UPC / EAN barcodes, part numbers and shipping marks can be included. Provide the required identifiers and label layout for checking with the order.
ORDER SUPPORT
Documents, Production & Delivery
Material & inspection records
Request material test reports (MTRs), mill certificates and the inspection records needed for your order. Document scope and batch traceability are agreed for the selected grade and screw configuration.
Stock & custom production
Stock availability is checked for the requested configuration. Factory-direct bulk and custom orders follow an agreed production schedule based on specification and quantity; dispatch timing is confirmed with the quotation.
Shipping & order support
FOB, CIF and DDP arrangements can be discussed for your destination. The agreed transport route includes shipment tracking, with delivery terms and logistics support set out in the order.
Standards & Material References
| Source dimensional references | ASME B18.6.3 / ASME B18.2.1 / ANSI (designation to be specified) |
|---|---|
| Source material references | ASTM F593 (Group 1: 304/305; Group 2: 316) / ASTM A240 |
Source references require a scope check: F593 covers specified bolts, hex cap screws and studs; A240 covers flat products. They are not blanket certification of this deck screw. Agree the relevant standard and edition.
