Heat-treated 410 · Metal joist / Undercut head

Stainless Steel Trim Head Torx Metal Joist Deck Screws

Stainless steel metal-joist deck screw with a trim head, Torx recess and drill point
PRODUCT VIEW

A heat-treated 410 stainless steel deck screw for composite, PVC and hardwood boards fixed to metal joists. The undercut trim head, T20 / T25 Torx drive and Tek point combine a compact surface fixing with drilling and thread engagement in suitable steel or aluminium supports.

  • Heat-treated 410 stainless steel
  • Low-profile undercut trim head
  • T20 / T25 Torx / Self-drilling Tek point for metal-frame selection

KEY FEATURES & PERFORMANCE

Trim-head finish.
Metal fixing.

This metal-joist version pairs a hardened body with an undercut trim head. The head addresses the board face; the Tek point and engaged thread address the support below. Select both sides of the joint together, including finish, colour and outdoor exposure.

  1. 01

    Heat-treated 410 construction

The hardened stainless body provides piercing hardness and strength for installation into a suitable metal support. Select the configuration using the joist grade, wall thickness and fixing requirements.

  2. 02

A Tek point for metal joists

The drill point cuts into suitable light-gauge steel or aluminium before the thread engages. Confirm drilling capacity for the exact screw and support, including overlapping metal layers.

  3. 03

    Undercut trim-head seating

The small head and undercut profile are designed to limit surface disturbance in decking. Match the seat and stopping depth to the board to help reduce raised fibres or cracking.

  4. 04

    Deep Torx drive contact

T20 / T25 recess options provide positive engagement for controlled torque transfer. Use the matching bit and installation settings for the board-and-metal assembly.

  5. 05

    Protective exterior finish

A protective coating is listed for exposed deck applications. Specify the coating system, contact metals and environmental requirements for the selected 410 screw.

  6. 06

    Painted-head colour options

Colour-matched painted heads can be discussed alongside the board reference. Approve the shade and head appearance on a sample; colour matching does not by itself define corrosion performance.

APPLICATIONS & CONNECTION PLANNING

Connections This Range Is Made For

01

Composite & PVC boards

Give the board profile, thickness and installation guidance. The undercut trim-head seat must be checked independently of the drill point, including any clearance hole and required movement allowance.

02

Hardwood over metal

For hardwood decking on a metal frame, specify the species and board preparation. The metal-drilling point does not remove pilot-hole and head-depth requirements in dense timber.

03

Steel & aluminium joists

State the joist metal, wall thickness and any overlap or isolation layer. These details guide drilling suitability, thread engagement and finish selection for the exact connection.

Follow the board and support requirements for the exact joint. Fixing capacity, usable engagement and preparation depend on the selected configuration.

COATING SOLUTIONS

Coating and Colour
for Metal-Frame Decks

Exterior protective coating and optional colour-matched painted heads are listed for this heat-treated 410 metal-joist design.

Include the support metal, board reference and exposure in your enquiry. The protective system and head colour are selected for the ordered configuration. Request the relevant test criteria and sample appearance without assuming a universal salt-spray duration or service life.

CUSTOMER QUESTIONS

Product, OEM & Packaging Q&A

Product details, custom manufacturing and packaging options for your next enquiry.

Product

Does the metal-joist name cover every steel or aluminium frame?

No universal drilling range is stated. Provide the joist grade, section and wall thickness so the exact screw, thread engagement and contact-metal conditions can be checked.

Product

What distinguishes this from other trim-head drill-point screws?

This version explicitly identifies an undercut trim head. Compare that head profile, the drill point and threaded length on the final drawing before treating similar models as interchangeable.

Product

Do hardwood boards still need pilot preparation?

They may. Review the timber species, board thickness and fixing position separately from the metal-drilling step, following the approved pilot-hole and seating method.

OEM

Can you customise the head, drive or dimensions?

Yes. OEM / ODM enquiries can include head markings, head shape, drive details, dimensions and tolerances. Supply a drawing or the applicable standard so the proposed design can be reviewed.

OEM

Can you match a head colour or special finish?

Yes. Head painting, passivation and specialty treatments can be reviewed with your colour reference and exposure requirements. The process and scope are agreed for the selected screw.

OEM

Can we check samples before full production?

Custom samples and initial inspection reports can be arranged before the production order. Agree the sample specification and review requirements during development.

Packaging

Which packaging formats can we specify?

Options include small polybags, inner boxes, outer cartons and industrial bulk packs. Tell us the quantity per pack and sales channel so the format can be agreed.

Packaging

Can the packaging carry our own brand?

Yes. Supplied logos and artwork can be used for custom box designs and printing across inner and outer packaging. The final artwork is reviewed with the packaging brief.

Packaging

Can you include barcodes, part numbers and shipping marks?

Private labels, UPC / EAN barcodes, part numbers and shipping marks can be included. Provide the required identifiers and label layout for checking with the order.

ORDER SUPPORT

Stock & custom production

Stock availability is checked for the requested configuration. Factory-direct bulk and custom orders follow an agreed production schedule based on specification and quantity; dispatch timing is confirmed with the quotation.

Shipping & order support

FOB, CIF and DDP arrangements can be discussed for your destination. The agreed transport route includes shipment tracking, with delivery terms and logistics support set out in the order.
