COATING SOLUTIONS
Special Coating Solutions for Stainless Steel Screws
We offer passivation and coating options, including e-coating, polymer coating and Ruspert coating, for stainless steel screws. Tell us your finish and corrosion-resistance requirements so we can tailor a solution to your project.
Passivation
Specify the surface condition required for your stainless steel screw. We review the material, cleaning and passivation requirements together as part of the product brief.
E-Coating
Discuss the appearance, colour and coverage you need from an electrophoretic coating. The proposed finish is reviewed alongside the screw geometry and its intended use.
Polymer Coating
A polymer coating can be considered where a project calls for a defined colour or additional surface treatment. Tell us the installation environment and the performance criteria for the selected screw.
Ruspert Coating
Include Ruspert coating in your enquiry when your product brief calls for this treatment. The specified system, colour and assessment requirements are agreed for the product and order.
SALT SPRAY TEST EXPOSURE
1,000-1,500
HOURS
For selected coating systems
In accordance with ASTM B117
The finish, exposure period and acceptance criteria are agreed for your project.
Before Salt-Spray Exposure

Define the Finish with the Product
Include the stainless steel grade, screw design, intended environment, colour and test requirements. We can then review a treatment for the connection and the project specification.
Questions & Answers
Does every finish have the same salt-spray performance?
No. The exposure period and acceptance criteria apply to the selected coating system and sample. Passivation and different coating processes should not be treated as one uniform performance rating.
What should we include in a coating enquiry?
Describe the screw, material grade, intended use, colour, finish and quantity. Include any test method and assessment criteria required by your project.
