304 / 316 stainless steel · Timber fixing
Stainless Steel Pan Head Torx Drive Wood Screws

These 304 and 316 stainless steel wood screws combine a raised pan head, Torx drive and full coarse thread. They provide a surface-seated fixing for cabinets, outdoor furniture, timber fittings and brackets where a countersunk head is not required.
- 304 / 316 stainless steel
- Pan head with a flat bearing surface
- Sharp gimlet wood point
KEY FEATURES & PERFORMANCE
Full thread.
Broad bearing.
Review the full-thread configuration, Torx engagement and raised pan head against the timber connection. Confirm the required thread engagement and the available space above the fixing surface.
- 01
Grade selection for the exposure
304, often described as 18-8, is used for general exposure; molybdenum-bearing 316 is considered for salt or chemical conditions. Match the grade to the timber treatment or contact materials and environment.
- 02
A broad surface seat
The pan head spreads clamp force across the timber or metal fitting. It remains above the surface, so allow for its diameter and height rather than driving it into a countersink.
- 03
Torx drive engagement
The star-shaped recess provides several contact faces for a matching bit, supporting controlled torque transfer and helping reduce cam-out during installation.
- 04
Thread engagement along the shank
The full coarse thread engages timber along the available embedded length. Its layout differs from a partial-thread screw and should be checked against clearance through the upper member.
- 05
Gimlet point for initial bite
The pointed end helps position the screw and begin engagement in timber. Pilot-hole requirements depend on wood density, diameter and distance from an edge.
- 06
Holding matched to the timber
Deep wood threads support pull-out resistance in the receiving member. The final connection depends on species, embedment and geometry; the thread form alone is not a load rating.

|---|---|
| Head form | Pan head with a flat bearing surface |
| Drive | Torx recess; bit size confirmed with the configuration |
| Point | Sharp gimlet wood point |
| Thread layout | Full coarse thread, subject to the approved product drawing |
| Receiving materials | Hardwood, softwood and engineered timber |
| Listed diameters | #8, #10, #12 and #14 |
| Listed length range | 1-8 in (source nominal range 25-203 mm) |
| Finish requests | Head colour, passivation and specialty finish by agreed specification |

The listed dimensions are a range, not a diameter-by-length stock matrix. Grade, size, drive, thread, point and finish are confirmed together with the quotation.
APPLICATIONS & CONNECTION PLANNING
Connections This Range Is Made For
Cabinetry & furniture
Use a raised head where the design has room above the bearing surface. Check the full-thread layout against the upper component and the required clamp-up of the joint.
Timber-to-metal fittings
For brackets and hardware attached to timber, compare the fitting hole and bearing face with the pan head. Specify the timber depth and thread engagement beyond the metal part.
Outdoor & marine joinery
The range is listed for exposed timber fixtures and marine joinery. Consider 316 for salt exposure, and match the screw, wood treatment and contact metals to the actual environment.
Select against the actual materials, joint dimensions and exposure. Performance requirements need data for the ordered configuration and complete connection.
COATING SOLUTIONS
A Finish That Fits
the Project
Head colour matching, passivation and specialty finishes can be reviewed with your selected screw. Include the desired appearance and exposure conditions in the enquiry.
Specify the stainless grade, contact materials and environment alongside the finish. A decorative head colour and a protective surface treatment serve different purposes; coating scope and any test requirements are agreed for the exact configuration.

Product, OEM & Packaging Q&A
Product selection, configuration checks, custom production and packaging for this range.
Product
How does this differ from the square-drive pan-head design?
This version uses Torx and is listed with a full thread. The square-drive range has a partial-thread arrangement. Compare the product drawing, not only the head shape.
Product
Can the pan head be installed flush?
The pan head is designed to remain above its bearing face. A flush fixing requires a suitable countersunk design and seat; forcing this head into the timber can damage the surface.
Product
Are all diameter and length combinations available?
The listed dimensions describe a range, not a complete stock matrix. Grade, diameter, length, drive and thread configuration are confirmed together with the quotation.
OEM
Can you customise the screw design?
Yes. Head markings, head and drive details, dimensions and tolerances can be reviewed against your drawing or specified standard. A custom design is agreed separately from the pictured configuration.
OEM
Can you match the head colour or finish?
Yes. Share the target colour, appearance and exposure conditions. Head painting, passivation and specialty finishing requests are reviewed for the selected material and screw configuration.
OEM
Can we approve samples before full production?
Custom samples and initial inspection reports can be arranged before the production order. The sample scope, cost and timing are confirmed during development.
Packaging
Which pack formats can we request?
Options include small polybags, inner boxes and industrial bulk packing. State the order quantity, units and preferred pack count; the final packing quantity and carton size are agreed for the order.
Packaging
Can the packaging carry our brand?
Yes. Inner and outer boxes, printed logos and supplied artwork can be included in a private-label packaging brief. Artwork and print details are approved before production.
Packaging
Can you include barcodes and shipping marks?
Private labels, UPC / EAN barcodes, part numbers and shipping marks can be included. Provide the required identifiers and label artwork so they can be checked against the product and pack format.
ORDER SUPPORT
Documents, Production & Delivery
Material & inspection records
MTRs and mill certificates can be requested with the enquiry. Identify the material, order and document requirements so record scope and batch traceability can be agreed. Inspection reports are matched to the selected configuration.
Stock, bulk & custom orders
Available stock, bulk production and custom work follow different scheduling routes. Confirm availability for the exact configuration; quantities, specification and sample approval determine the quoted production and dispatch schedule.
International shipping
FOB, CIF or DDP terms can be reviewed for your destination, with shipment tracking arranged for the agreed route. Destination availability, duties, charges and delivery timing are confirmed in the quotation.
